Senior Kristina Rudin had a big day individually Saturday to help the College of Saint Benedict swimming and diving team finish with a big win.
 
Rudin picked up her first individual win of the season at the Roger Ahlman Invite – hosted by Macalester – to help CSB take first at the six-team invite. For her performance, Rudin is this week’s CSB Athlete of the Week.
 
Rudin started off the meet with a win in the 50 freestyle in 25.88 seconds and picked up a second win in the 100 freestyle in 56.21 seconds. Rudin also scored points for the team by placing second in the 100 butterfly in 1:03.91, and she swam the final leg of the third-place 400 freestyle relay.
 
These are Rudin’s first individual swims of the season and her fifth top-two individual finishes of the season. Her efforts helped CSB to pick up their second win of the year. At the invite, the swim and dive team won a total of 10 events and scored 553 points—more than 100 points more than the second-place finishing team at the invite.
 
Saint Benedict hosts its first dual meet of the season Saturday, Nov. 18, against St. Thomas at St. John’s at the Warner Palaestra Pool.
