In a game against Minnesota-Morris Tuesday, senior basketball player Macy Kelly scored a career-high of 18 points to help the College of Saint Benedict to a 67-53 win. For her big performance against the Cougars, Kelly is this week’s CSB Athlete of the Week.
 
In addition to scoring in the double-digits against Minnesota-Morris, Kelly also had three rebounds and two assists for CSB, which shot 40 percent from the field and outrebounded the Cougars 37-29.
 
This was Kelly’s first time scoring in double-digits this season with her previous career-high being 14 points in a game against Macalester last season.
 
The win by CSB against Minnesota-Morris pushed the team to start their season 4-0, the first time they have done this since 2010-11. Saint Benedict looks to push its record to 5-0 and get MIAC play off to a good start Wednesday when it hosts St. Kate’s at 7 p.m.
