Emily Engelmeier got it done in both the circle and at the plate last week for the Blazer softball team.
She hit safely in all four games, extending her career long streak to five consecutive games, capped by a 3-for-4 performance for her first career three-hit game, while also driving in three. She also hit four home runs on the week, including three in the Carleton series, while leading the Blazers to the sweep.
On the week, she was 7-for-14 at the plate, with four runs scored, eight RBI, and five extra base hits.
In the circle, she started twice, going the distance in each game, which included a win over Carleton and an extra inning loss to Saint Mary’s. Against the Cardinals, Engelmeier struck out eight in the loss, the second highest total of her season.
