Kimberly Lidstone has literally led the Blazer softball team to its 3-1 start at the National Training Center Spring Games in Clermont, Fla.
Batting at the top of the line-up, the Blazer leadoff hitter has went 9-for-16 through the first four games of the spring trip, helping the Blazers to wins over Southern Maine, Oneonta State (N.Y.) and Western Connecticut State, with the only loss by one run to Wisconsin-Whitewater. In addition to batting .563, Lidstone has scored six runs, with at least one hit and one run in each game. In three of the four games, she has finished 2-for-4 or better, with the Blazers’ latest game as her best. In the win over Western Connecticut, she went 4-for-4 with a run scored, adding two RBI, for her first career four-hit game.
